Accidentally sent wrong message to my guy. Now what?

I was about to break up with my boyfriend of six months over text. We had a small argument over the phone. Then I calmed down and deleted the message I was about to send. But when I opened SMS part of it was sent with a random emoji as second text. Apparently keyboard showed suggested emojis and i clicked on them. So what he received was an emoji followed by "I wanted to tell you something." Then I sent him a poem I found and apologized for accidentally writing him nonsense and told him that I was just trying to find a poem to send him. He hasn't responded to my message. Now what should I do? Call him and laugh about it?

I'm never nasty or passive aggressive. We were having an argument about me working a lot and having no time to meet. So I told him to let it rest. So you assume he figured I wanted to send something else? Thank God i never sent the actual message.

Υes. We met yesterday and slept here. He is going through tough time now which i wasn't aware. He is diagnosed with OCD intrusive thoughts and he didn't know how to tell me.
