Just about every woman likes to be flirted with. I may not be the best looking guy (that would prevent me from drawing the interest of top shelf shallow women). But I've got a good personality. Where I fail is I'm not a liar. I'm not good at telling women what they want to hear. And that's why I'll always lose to the guy that will.

I am 63, single and semi-retired. I am not looking for a long-term relationship! Because I still work from home there are times I just rather be by myself and the only person close to me is my executive assistant who does my clerical work! I finished my last contract and will be starting another one in several weeks. I would be telling a lie if I said I was 100% with women. Because I am not. I do not date exclusively and never will. I can't really answer his question without sounding like something I am not. Honestly, I am the one hit on by the women I see. I might call a woman 3 maybe 4 times a month. Those are the dates I will invite over and cook for. The others almost always cook for me. I will be spending the weekend with a lady that works for American Airlines and she will be on call starting Monday. These flight attendants can have some really weird schedules, I think she has to go to the Airport and hang out so if a FA can't make a flight she is there. I just finished a fantastic shrimp salad with scalloped potatoes along with 2010 Darioush Cabernet Sauvignon! Life is good! My success with women is very good, for a 63-year-old fart!

I will admit, I'm not sure if I've ever really flirted with a woman. So for me, I'm at a big fat 0 with success. Never been in a relationship before or even gone on a date, so I don't know what it's like. It's mostly in part that I'm very slow/cautious to act and most of the people I like I usually quickly find out they're engaged or married already. I know men are largely expected to be the initiator, but damn it would be nice to have it switched around.

I consider myself a pretty average, masculine, man. I'm mostly surprise by the comment section. In my experience, I feel most average guys would have the same results.

in my opinion though, I feel you've misrepresented Henry Cavill here. The dude's got natural advantages over me and feel he would be way more successful. His age, potential wallet size, and fame is well known already, which is something most all of us would have to work on and he would not.

Also, no. "Average" is dogshit. No one wants mediocrity or valuelessness. Data for online dating clearly shows that women only "right swipe" on 1% of men on Tinder and only find 7% of all available men attractive enough to date.

Also, nitpicking the pictures isn't necessary, as well. Cavill is actually introverted, so wouldn't even be talking to that much women, anyway. It takes more than just looks. And really, I just have him here because Wilt Chamberlain allegedly slept with over 20,000 women by the time he was 55 (an average of two a day since age 15).

I don't agree with your assertion of 'Average'. Average is nothing more than just that, average. One could aspire to be above average or drop down to below average due to a lack of ambition, but it's still average. We'll simply disagree here.

I'm also pretty ignorant of "dating apps", I've used them for a total of 1 hour maybe so I cannot debate stats from dating apps.

Dating apps are more shallow than the real world, but in the modern day and age, people under 40 can barely even distinguish the difference anymore. Millennials and Zoomers are an AWFUL generation to try to find love in.

It still doesn't make sense how anyone gets anything done with those apps. But perhaps it is due to me being GenX and my experiences. I can't imagine not walking up to someone and simply talking to them.

I just came out of a relationship for over 14 years recently, a couple months ago. Before that, I was pretty good with girls as I would get their attention and flirt with them and see how far it went. I usually got most of my play while being in a relationship which was annoying as i couldnt do anything about it. Coming out of this relationship, I feel lost and nervous about the future. On the other hand at work there have been some hotties over the years but it is best to not shit where you eat.

I guess as I have gotten older I have noticed two things:

1. I have become more of a lone wolf over the past few years and I do not feel the need for constant companionship. Most people don't understand this but it suits me just fine.
