Guys on dating sites?

Okay, i am getting annoyed. why is it that half the guys on dating sites look like Greek gods and Adonis' with a six pack and a perfectly chiseled jaw who all happen to be engineers, and the other half look like dorks who are supposedly 27 but look 40? WHY, Why, why, why? All i ask from the universe is to find a cute, average looking chubby guy a few years older than me. I want his face to be somewhat attractive cause i want cute babies, and i don't mind if he is chubby. i want a chubby guy (10-20 lbs overweight) because i myself am no model and i wouldn't feel good enough for Mr. Zeus the six-pack Lightning Bolt. So I have determined that these are the two main type of men on dating sites: the First Type

Honestly I don't think dating sites are the way to go. Mostly because cat fishing seems to be a serious issue. Also it seems like it can make it harder for people to develop connection with someone they are actuality dating. Due to it creating this weird disconnect between their "internet relationship" and a real relationship outside of the internet. So I'd see if a friend can set you up with someone they know or try a meetup group or speed dating. Simply because it can help you foster a actual connection with someone.

man, dating sucks and is so damn hard. i dunno, maybe i'm ugly or something? it seems like every somewhat attractive man on the planet has a girlfriend. like i can't catch a freaking break. if i smile at a guy, i'll later find out he is married with 10 kids, 2 dogs, and a mansion. maybe i should start accepting the advances of 60 year old men since they seem to be the only ones available (?). so online dating is really my last hope. :(

You're not going to find a potential baby making mate on dating sites. It's filled with lonely guys and women looking for a hookup or ego boost. Gotta look real world.

real world? where where where? most guys start staring intensely at the sky or the ground when i look at them a few times or look at me and then pretend they didn't notice my existence. or they are married. or they have a girlfriend. or they are gay. or they roll their eyes. so many guys are SCARED to approach a woman. like they think we will accuse them of something just for looking at us. ugh. i am a bit of a loner and don't have any friends. not that i particularly care about friends but apparently you need a social circle to meet guys. :( what am i supposed to do? walk around with my boobs hanging out? i see women that are fatter and in my opinion not the greatest looking who have guys drooling over them. then again, when i dress a bit more scantily, i do get a lot of "hey babies, what's shaking?" from guys i don't find particularly attractive.

You're preaching to the choir. I'm in a similar boat. I can't get anyone to notice me either. I'm 6'3", 195 lb, i think i look pretty good, and other guys without a job, treating women like crap, losers all have a girlfriend and me, nada. It's sickening. I'm not particularly outgoing, which like you know isn't helpful especially for a guy or so I'm told. The question about asking a girl out, it's tough when you're doing the asking these days because, as you've noted, guys can and are accused of being perverts and creeps just for looking, much less approaching a woman. It's all so upside down. You have the ladies by and large choosing guys that cheat on them or only want a one night stand or friends with benefits , but normal guys without the pickup lines are sidelined. I feel for us both lol. At least you're still young, me, not so much... we don't need to settle, other people are just taken in by cheap lines and empty promises. I answered a question this evening from some woman who's boyfriend was a man child, i really mean it. She was describing a guy who had opened a beer and a bag of chips while she was getting ready to go to dinner with him. He works 5 hrs a week and plays video games all day. Apparently this is a catch for her 😧 and there's nice normal ones like us alone. Makes no sense.

@mark000h yeah, i got desperate enough i am on a dating site now cause real life isn't working. well, good luck. as a guy, you can have kids till you're 100 years old. as a woman, till we're about 35 or 40 (if we're lucky).
