Does a guy on dating site EVERY day actually have time to go out with girls?

Long story short, I found a guy on a dating site who has really unique hobbies, some of which are similar to mine. I thought for sure he would be just as excited as I was about that, and start the conversation by acknowledging that we've actually crossed paths in person. But his messages were always short and superficial (he never acknowledged the fact that he's seen me in person), and when I texted him saying he takes too long to respond to my messages, he just deleted that message, and that was the end. Is he just an internet troll that gets women's hopes up and never actually goes out with them? Am I overreacting, or is that like the epitome of ruthlessness?

Well, that photo is certainly a troll account. But guys who are serious about using dating apps to pick up girls have to work hard at it. We have to be constantly sending messages, constantly responding, keeping notes of different girls details and possibilities. We have to respond to three dozen girls, chat with 15, video chat with 8, and meet 4 to have a chance to take one to bed. If you’re serious about it you pretty much have to be responding to and chatting with quite a few girls even while you’re meeting one. So, it’s not like we’re picking one at a time and spending a few days seeing if she’ll work out.

And if you were thinking that there are a bunch of attractive guys using dating apps to meet the one and only girl they wanna marry, I am afraid that it’s just not the case. Guys assume the girls know that they are hustling hard to get laid. Unfortunately, girls don’t always realize this.

Plenty of women are on dating sites for the ego boost, I’m sorry you had to be on the receiving end of the shoe being on the other foot but it’s not as though it’s unprecedented from either gender.

I forget what the source on this is, but I’ve read somewhere that a survey was given to women about what they want in a partner, and the ones who didn’t outright describe another woman even though they claimed cisgender heterosexual described the traits of a gay man.

The problem with online dating is know who's behind that keyboard. Sounds like you were dealing with a fake profile. These imposters do exactly that give you false hope into meeting them.

Well his hobbies could certainly be fake. I've seen him walking around in real life though, making eye contact with me to imply he knows me from somewhere, so his pictures are real.

I met a girl on there whose profile looked so similar to me I thought I was looking at my female equivalent. Apparently she didn't agree.

Try to keep in mind a dating profile while it should be a profile about who you are MOST people treat it as a resume to sell themselves. You're almost NEVER going to meet the person they describe. 🤣

Honestly most women don't even read profiles. I used to have a very detailed profile. But every woman I met was nothing like me. And I've yet to meet a woman who didn't lie incessantly on it.

I had a cousin who moved to California who would already have women lined up in New York when he came home to visit on tinder. He would be checking his matches at family functions without even trying to disguise how excited he was about smashing a random stranger that night. He sometimes even bragged about it in front of our younger female cousins.
