Men who went from being poor/middle class to being rich, Have you really seen any change as to how women treat you?

One of the most important dating advice given to men on reddit is to be financially strong, to be rich, and almost every guy agrees with it.
Some guys even share their stories on how girls started treating them nicer than before. So I want to know what men on GAG think, did you see any difference in the way women treat you?

Younger women treat me the same, and women 25+ treat me a lot differently. Being a steroid using bodybuilder in college, getting with drunken college women was pretty easy. That was really the only demographic that showed a lot of interest though. After obtaining wealth and acquiring assets, I’ve noticed that the younger women treat me the same, and women 25+ show a lot more attraction. They make themselves much more “available”.

I got a pretty average car, and wear athletic wear like Lulu lemon as my everyday attire. It’s not like I’m rocking a lambo and wear Armani suits everyday. When I talked about finance, and investing is when people start to turn their heads. I never tell anyone my net worth, but I do talk about what’s going on in my real estate and crypto portfolio often. It’s just a part of my life.

Women are pretty intuitive when it comes to picking up on vibes, and I would say I have a lot of confidence when it comes to these topics and my ability to provide. This is externally presented regardless of intent.

I would say that’s terrible dating advice though. You’re going to attract some shallow women if that’s your priority. Capitalism and finance is a game I enjoy playing, and it has nothing to do with my relationship with my wife nor when we were dating.

Women are of course attracted to men who can provide, and I would argue to say that a lot of that is driven by biology rather than just writing it off as shallow. They want a man to be able to provide them with a family and be able to adequately support that family. They want their kids to have the best chance of succeeding. More money equates to that in a lot of minds. Money should never be the premise of selecting a spouse, and that’s an important distinction to keep in mind. Mindset, emotional maturity, and morale are much more important.

Yes most girls act way different if a man is financially secure and has a little extra when it comes to finances.

It’s not so much the actual cash but the social scene you hang around in.

in previous job I had access to things like Formula 1 evening parties, major fashion after show parties etc.

Just by being there people automatically make the assumption you have cash and are connected.

As someone that grew up where we could not afford a car, had free school meals and poverty was a real thing, it’s a different world.

You are definitely seen in a different light.

depending on what car i drove or how i dressed you get completely different reception from people.

The worst bit is I get approach by people I do not like, sheep with money and zero individuality , no ability to think for themselves 🤦

Sure, I didn't work so hard to get ahead if it wasn't for the intense pressure to earn from women.

I KNEW that to enter (just to be allowed to participate) the dating market I needed a good income before I hit puberty. It's why I worked seven days a week and saved all my money. I've had dates that have cost me over a months pay , just for a date that went nowhere.

For example, can't date at all without a car where I grew up and it better not be an ugly car.
I was a top engineer at a fortune 500 telecommunications company at 26 when I bought a new car and my first house. It was the ONLY time women ever treated me with respect. I had that short window to date before I hit 30 after that dating was just not worth it anymore so I stopped asking women out.

Can't really speak to it. I did go from a middle-income household to the flashiest uni in the country though. The difference in attention I received from girls knowing and not knowing where I studied was, and is, significant.

However I think studying anything makes you more attractive. Hard to gauge how impactful it was.

Ultimately money helps a lot. It is however akin to a gym membership. Yes, it helps in getting fit. Yes it makes things a lot easier. But you do not need it to be fit. And more often than not it is used as an excuse not to try rather than a legitimate barrier.

Yes 100% because I have experienced what you have described in your question myself and it Sucks! like Big Time Sucks. When I was struggling and had tons of sleepless nights and really did need some kind of support and someone to talk to, so they can give me a confirmation that you are doing the right thing and there is a light at the end of a tunnel and we will reach it together, not one, not a single girl wanted to do anything with me. But now, when my nest is finally complete and comfortable, they suddenly do want to be part of my walk, The difference between then and now, is that I don't want them to be in my walk anymore or even be part of my nest. If they refused to be part of it in the beginning, there is absolutely no reason for me to share my success with them now.

But I would say I'm in the middle class maybe even lower middle class.

I mean compared to some other people I know that still have no job or is swimming in debt I'm technically richer than them.

And no I was never treated any different. I mean more people call me Mr. Instead of just saying my first name.

I'm not one of them, but I'm sure there is. Most women care a lot about it, even if they say it's not important to them. When you first meet a woman, it's almost the first thing they want to know about a guy, "what do you do?". And it's not general conversation, the answer matters a lot!

Yup, they are far more impressed with my cars and houses then they were when I younger and poorer. Definitely makes them think harder about how unhappy they really are with me when they sit on the pool deck over looking the beach.

Well, it did not happen so often. Also I'm not rich but I have risen up from being penniless to lower-middle class (soon to be middle class).
Fortunately most women treated me alright and like a human being.
If a woman treats me better since I have money (or because I would spend money on her), then that's the wrong woman to associate with (a disgusting gold digger).
