Reoccurring dream?

For years now I’ve had the same dream over a hundred times. It’s always with the same person just different scenarios. Someone I used to know from middle school to High school. We never ended up dating because I switched schools in 9th grade. Every time I have the dream we end up dating. And every time I wake up from the dream I’m just sad. I reached out once before but he had a girlfriend so that didn’t work. I hate this dream and I hate how it reoccurs and there’s nothing I can do about it. I hate the dream.
For reference I’m a 22F and I do have narcolepsy
