When guys text less, are they more comfortable or less interested?

I've been talking to a guy for a few months now and he's always put forth the effort to reach out first. For the most part, it's him and sometimes me but we text some every day. I don't think either of us are phone call people.

He started a new career which leaves him barely any time but he makes time to text me every day. I also have a crazy schedule. Our conversations aren't too serious but they can be fun, sometimes sexy, and for the past week, it's been mostly checking in. He usually texts goodnight and has kind of stopped the past week but he still initiates the conversation. I sent him a lingerie pic to spice things up and he complimented and apologized with a pic of his work that he'd be working until bedtime.

I know there's a lot in our plates and our pace is more of slow and steady but am I overthinking since he's reaching out or is he just losing interest? People tell me as long as he's reaching out especially being this busy but I'm internalizing a fear that he may not have as much fun.
