How can a liberal society that supports LGBTQ+ be so prejudiced against age difference?

I am a 27, almost 28 male and I never had a real girlfriend before. I want a woman where we can be each other's first loves. Essentially, I seek a woman without a romantic past.

My best bet is to find a younger woman, likely 18 or 19ish, if I am going to increase my chances of finding what I am looking for.

I am only looking for a woman with the same inexperience, which is a fair request.

Some people fly off the handle in disgust when I mention going for women that age. But I don't understand in such a liberal society that supports transgenderism and even something as disgusting as teaching little kids about this stuff can be so opposed to an age gap in a relationship.

As long as we are two consenting adults, why does it matter?

It probably comes from old hags who don’t like the competition. I had a woman “fly off the handle in disgust” with me when I was 29 and said I didn’t see anything wrong with going out with an 18-year-old. Keep in mind that:
1) She was 37. The biggest age difference I had ever had on a date at that time was once when I went out to dinner with her.
2) When she was married the first time, she was 20 and her husband was 33.
3) A year later, she was 38 and married a 27-year-old.

I think I recently violated the rules women hold most dear. I had a dinner date with a woman 35 years younger (still legal, I’m 58) and four inches taller.

Not sure why no romantic past is important. Can you explain that? As far as age, so long as you are both adults and mesh well together relationship wise then whatever works for you. It is about two people getting along and being a good fit. Often times, that comes with an age gap.

For me, I date close to my age. That’s just my preference though. Now, what does LGTBQ+ have to do with your dating a girl that is younger? I don’t get that at all.

Sounds to me more of a political rant/stance type of post then one about dating. I’m not making the connection between the two. Perhaps focus on one thing when you ask a question. I support that group as in I don’t mind their choices. It has no bearing on my life at all.

I let them be because they, as a group, let me be. I’ve never been pressured or felt uncomfortable. Not sure what everyone else experiences but that is just mine. I have some good friends part of that group. Get along with them great.

Priya, I might be able to explain this. Retroactive Jealousy is a thing where you don’t devalue a woman because of her sexual pasts, but basically it haunts you because it nags in the back of your mind another man has made your girlfriend moan, another man did this, or that. etc.

I have a huge retroactive jealousy issue, but it is not quite what @blissinanarchy1 explains.

Imagine a young boy and a girl who grew up close to each other. They got to experience their youth together, something I can never say me and a woman I meet has.

Imagine they can reunite later in life and it can be a sweeter, more desirable outcome. Even if she chooses to remain with me, it still hurts to know that guy would have been meant for her after all. It makes for a sweeter love story.

If you manage to attract a young woman, it will be because she has a shitty home life and thinks you are the answer.
