Asked a girl out in a restaurant, she said no, but she kept looking afterwards?

What does this even mean? I asked her out 'found you cute, any chance for your number?' she said 'thank you, but sorry no'.. then as she was leaving she kept looking at me and on the way up the long steps out she still kept looking. obviously i didn't pay to much attention to her then just gave he a glimpse.

A couple come to mind. She's making sure you left and wasn't going to try again. Of course it's also possible she had second thoughts but didn't know how to approach that situation having already said no. Been there myself but the other way around. A girl asked me out, I said no but she kept looking at me and I regretted saying it but didn't have the guts back then to go approach her. DO you go there often? Does she? Does she work there? Go in again and see what happens. If she isn't in and works there ask her colleagues about her. Maybe even pass over a number/facebook etc. If she is in and comes over. Maybe ask again? If she avoids you then you know anyway.

Cheers Pete, She was there for food so i doubt i'd see her again. Hardly go there also.. but thats what my thinking is.. i was fine with the 'no' and said 'no worries' walked off. not a big deal.. but its just that long walk to go outside she kept staring and i thought maybe she had second thoughts.. obviously i was with a group of friends so probably tough for her to approach me.

Probably to make sure you didn’t react badly or do anything that would put her in danger. You can never be too careful.
