Do you mind if a guy doesn't talk about his dating history?

I have never dated, but I'd rather not explicitly say that. Do you typically ask about a guy's dating history?

Here's how it works for me. If she asks too soon, "I am not prepared to speak upon this subject at this time. I do not know you well enough to delve into my details... let's get to know each other better." That being said about a month in with 5 dates and a full-day Saturday thing under my belt, I will offer up the subject. "Thank you for going along with me... moving slowly.. may I tell you about my romantic past?" This is respectable !!

I think some people don't want to talk about their past coz usually people are very judgmental
