Why doesn’t my boyfriend like to hear about my romantic past?

boyfriend of four years doesn’t like to hear about my past relationships or past romantic encounters. I was talking about how I went to a club for my 23 birthday and what not and he was not interested he said “ I don’t want to hear about it” I asked why not and he said “because I’m gonna throw up in my mouth” sounds excessive but I know he was being sarcastic. Guys any knowledge why?

He doesn’t want to think or imagine you with another man. This is normal. It also probably sounds like you’re remember those old memories fondly, and that can come across like you miss the ex, which feels to him like you’re comparing.

Is it really that hard not to talk about it?
