If a guy has been messaging everyday then doesn't after first date, is it most likely a ghosting situation?

For context, he is 41. He clearly isn't the type of guy who spends a lot of time on his phone or messages frequently but he did message several times in a day. I reflected his pace of messaging: I didn't want to come on too strong and also wanted to save lots to discover about each other for meeting in person. After our first meeting/date he did message to check I'd got home okay, but didn't reply to my message in reply or get in touch all day yesterday. There were all the signs of a "good date": Conversation flowed, lots of laughter, he was the one who extended it by suggesting we go on and do something else etc. He mentioned more than once he was having/had a great time.

We chatted for 2 weeks before meeting (he was out of the country for work) and it's the first time he's not made contact for a whole day. Should I dismiss the idea that I will hear from it again or could it be just a natural change now that we've met in person and he's letting things soak in before getting in touch again?
