I think having a partner belongs to the psychological base needs of a person. So her statement is emotionally loaded bullshit which makes sense cause she's an artist, not a scientist.
I don't think having a partner is a luxury cause even the most poor and deprived people can have a partner.
Celebrities in general are not to be considered experts on anything besides their own art form.
I highly doubt she truly felt that way. I'd like to roll back time and have her never have any romantic experiences with a man and see if she felt perfectly content in life.
Also true for a woman. You don't need another person, insofar as a romantic partner goes. You do need other people in your life at some point, you can't function alone forever (unless you have dogs and even then it's not easy). There are lifelong bachelors and spinsters (female bachelor). They still have social interactions with people, usually of both genders.
Sometimes I wonder if gender equality will ever truly exist. Instead of trying to get along, we just keep putting each other down instead. It's honestly sad.
@Pinay_ako Na that's a toxic message in my opinion. We don't own anyone. People aren't luxury cars and watches. We are not objects. It's degrading and belittling.
Lol till you end up single pretending you don’t need a man. You wait. You’ll feel embarrassed about your life. When you’re 30 no one will want you and you’ll be left die the shelf to rot with all the other idiots that aren’t fit for giving life and preserving the species
@Itfyijff and what have you built? hmmm? When have you ever fixed a leaky faucet, or changed the breaks on a car, or dug the foundation for a house? Because I have done all of those things... Sounds like you are trying to take credit for the work and success of other people.
I dont need to be in a relationship with a man, I chose to be because I wanted one, not because I needed him.

You don’t need a guy to be happy, but if you love a guy and you’re happy together you shouldn’t feel bad either
“You do you” as the saying goes
@Still-alive yes!
Relationships in general are a luxury. Not needed.
anyways be ready to see a bunch of whiny incels lose their shit over this one lol 😂 😆

Well at 360 million dollars she can just hire.
I'd say women are just very expensive pets.
not sure... I'm easy, don't cost much either, lmao
That's good advice. Helps girls to not be so desparate
So if a man said the same thing, would it be empowering for boys? (Choose your words carefully.)
@GrapeApe98 sure it would
I think the attitude towards her would be very different if she said this about women and if she is a man. Just saying.
I get the feeling we'd be seeing the word "incel" being thrown around.
I guess that all depends on what your set of values prioritizes.
Women need to realise that if they don't need a man, a man won't need them either.
Careful what you wish for.
Right. I think that's the main theme of her message: it cuts both ways.

In terms of general life, that's false. In terms of dating and relationship is true.
A necessity is clean water to drink, food, clothing and shelter in some circumstances to survive.
If that's the case, why don't women seem to want THIS luxury?
I know this will be ignored for the next 90 years because I am too late and everyone doing their own stuff now and never look back here
So that's why I will skip my opinion
@Pinay_ako Na that's a toxic message in my opinion. We don't own anyone. People aren't luxury cars and watches. We are not objects. It's degrading and belittling.
lol I bet she's had a wonderful and successful love life saying something like that.
Same thing can be said about women. Women are a luxury as well and men don't need them either.
You could also flip that and say that today for a Man “ A woman is not a necessity. A woman is a luxury.”
Lets face it, guys are dating less and the marriage rate is at an all time low, guy see either as an imperative.
Yeah for the most part. Not every man is a luxury though, I’d wager that most are not. How ever having a man is certainly not a necessity.

You need men stop playing 😂 who’s gonna fix and build everything in your life, your house etc MEN. Men built everything for you ungrateful hoes
