Why is he suddenly so scared to lose me?

Before he wasn't he always acted like he didn't care if we break up and always treating me like trash until my friend showed me him calling her babe and me showing that to him saying that im done and we break up he got really scared/hurt that day even made screenshot showing me im the only one he's talking to, deleted his instagram account where he was following many different women, since then he's smothering me with love saying im his only girl, love of his life, his queen, his best friend, made me as his profile picture on his telegram etc. All so weird
