Would you say that "online dating sites" are more like a meat-market than anything akin to proper dating?

I've noticed that men seem to be far more attracted to "overly-attractive" or even cheaper-dressed women even if their profiles are dull or even incomplete. Whereas a not obese, not unattractive woman who is say financially independent doesn't attract much attention.

The irony is, is most of these men don't seem to have much depth to them. Lack of character & personality. I mean one asked me because I was in X city how would I feel about relocating and when I said well I've been across the country as a child because father was federal government & relocating is no hardship they disappeared.

it is for women. for most men their isn't a single soul in their match que. Women who say they are financially independent scare most of us or we are just less interested. the reason is because it tells us women dont care about relationship security so they will be jumping from one relationship to another if they ain't happy.

there are some that most people are looking for that someone special.
Usually, it is the better pay sites.
that does help keep those that are just looking for a hook up from joining, and if it happens too often, they could be reported and removed from the site.
I had very good luck there, I met my wife on e harmony.
