Would you consider my boyfriend's behavior controlling or caring?

We moved in together fairly recently and I really am feeling great in this relationship but there is one thing.

Before we head out he always makes sure I'm dressed warm. I used to complain about being cold all the time, so now he reminds me to bundle up in full thermals he gave me as a gift (top and bottom), turtlenecks, layers, parka, hats/scarf/mitts, all that. If I say I'll be fine, he's like trust me you'll be cold, just bundle up and you'll be good.

When I bring it up, he reminds me of my old complaints.

Is this nothing, or is it a red flag?

It all depends on how he acts if you decide not to do as he says and go out without bundling up. If you only know how he reacts when you agree then you can't tell. Whether a statement is controlling or not depends more on how they act once you do not do as they say. But moving in together at that age is one of the worst ideas you could ever come up with period...(assuming you're 22).

I think you're adult n you know what is good for you. I never ask my girl what she should wear n not wear. It's her life. I trust her she knows what is good for her.

Just take it out during a date or say you will bring it but not wear when you don't need to. See how he reacts to that and it should be clear.
