What to do when a date didn’t meet my expectations?

I like a guy for some time. We went out but i was kinda disappointed. He was pretty nervous and we struggled a bit in conversation. What would you do?

Propose a date of your own and take the pressure off of him. Dating can really get into your head and psyche you out, if you aren't feeling very confident.
