Can he wait years or a lifetime? Is anyone like that?
Sure, some people are like that. Most men aren't for a few reasons I think.
1. It's kind of a raw deal for us.
Sure women like sex too, but men desire it MUCH more. Just look at any strip club, porn site, etc. It's more of a need for us.
During the dating phase, typically the man is paying for most things, planning most things, and doing a lot of extra "work" that women just kind of expect. Seem to not view it as that big of a deal. But men do those things because women like it, and they will get what they like, sex from that woman.
So us waiting is essential, you get all you want out of this, while I get for lack of a better term "nothing". Also, I'm sorry ladies, but most of y'all aren't worth the wait.
2. If you have let any other man sleep with you right away, your "waiting" kind of seems like bullshit to us.
Unless you are a virgin, no man is gonna wait for something other men have already had. Pretty simple. We know a lot of women sleep with some men right away, and throw out all of the rules cause they are hot. Well, how do you think he feels if you make him wait, when the guy you didn't give a fuck about got it first night?

u +1 yDepends on the guy and why he is waiting. Because she is dating someone else? Won't wait. Because she is in school 500 miles away? I'd wai as long as I knew that she was also waiting for me. Because there are other things in her life that are a higher priority at present? Very likely won't wait.

quite long if he is sincere. I was 33 when my boyfriend noticed me. He told me that when he first saw me, he gave himself 3 years to 'woo" me because he believed I was the one. fortunately for him, he succeeded in just a couple of months. I agreed to be his with a note because at my age I was too shy to say yes openly. he still teases me about it and keeps my note sacred, saying he will show it to our future children.
I didn't like him that much at first cause of my idea of my man in my mind. I wanted tall and handsome and fair but yes he was tall and handsome but dark.
but now I'm over the moon for him and he really knows how to ask a woman out.

If he knows he loves her, I'd dare say he'd be willing to wait forever. If he thinks that he loves her, a couple months?

+1 yOnly kind of dudes that will wait like that are the ones you've friendzoned...
actual men aren't going to sit around moping after you. they'll ask you if you're into them, if you say no or play games; they're gone.
Most women nowadays try to "test" men like they see dumb tiktok women doing, if men see this kind of shit; we walk.

Are you asking being patient or hopelessly waiting. There's a difference, of you're being patient you have dinner your math and it's mutual between you and that guy that you are going through something and once you make through the end of the tunnel then you can think about being together. This needs commitment to self and to that person and it is really important to trust your abilities and stay focus. Waiting patiently for someone with whom you just had a instant spark but not much beyond that is a waste of time. I would never wait for someone who's unsure and don't know what they want to do with their life and themselves. But i would patiently grow along with the person for things to fall in place assuming this is not love but friendship of this didn't work not over compensating and not simping priotizing myself.

+1 yDefine wait?
Are they in the Peace Corps and gone for two years?
Are they dating someone else?
Are you dating her and we are talking about waiting to have sex?
If the first 2 scenarios... you don't wait. You move on.
If the last scenario, a lot of guys would wait a long time (if the girl wasn't known to have hooked up quickly with others but NOW wants to wait) but other guys would not. It just depends.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI've waited for years for some girls. Then with those it didn't work out.
Then i found another girl who i've fallen in love with and i'm now waiting again.
I guess it depends on the individual. Some won't wait even a day or a week. I won't wait forever. If someone who i think is good for me and i love her and she loves me, i will go for her.
I can't just wait around for a chance that might never happen, unless we are in contact, and i know she loves me, but for some reason we can't be together yet10 Reply- 3.6K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yI waited 8 years for Carol and 13 for Emily. Not that I wasn't looking for someone else, in the meantime! And, when I found her, those two were no longer on my radar. I eventually got Carol back after 35 years but I'd already spent 10 of those with girlfriend #3.

Waiting forever is not q choice, its a lack of options. I did not choose who or what Im atracted to. No one chooses how we are turned on or off.10 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yNo. He won’t wait for years.
Mine waited for 2.5 years.
Everyone is different but in the end, no one’s going to stay forever. They leave, one way or another.
