What does it mean when a guy says “he won’t share you with any other guy”?

I’ve asked this question before I would to give more context to the story. We’ve been seeing each other a over a month and we both have a really strong connection. But when he said this to me we were talking about another guy and I feel like it was romantic but it could also be a red flag. We are not officially dating but are really close to being.

What do you mean you’re not “officially dating“? you have been officially dating for over a month. You might not have a commitment, but you are most definitely officially dating. And from the description it sounds like he just informed you that he would like to become exclusive/or get some form of commitment. He's telling you that he doesn’t want to share you, so if you want to continue dating him, (your choice) but he would like a promise from you that HE will be the ONLY man you date (officially or otherwise).
