She liked me for a long time. We became friends and after some time we got closer. I asked her out and she said yes. After the date she ended things. Before we got closer i was like if I dont get this girl I will never get any. I think I am pretty bad at dating and this stuff

Heck no!! Just because there's attraction in the beginning doesn't mean they have to stay with you or even itll last long. It's a punch to the gut sometimes especially if someone you were really fucking smitten with and by. You're okay. You'll be okay kiddo

I think it's just a normal dating story. It can happen to any of us, and it does. We like someone or someone likes us, with mutual feelings and expectations, we start dating. There is no rule that says it will always work. A negative result in a relationship does not mean that you cannot see other people unless there is an extreme reason.
