No, if you don’t *reach* for them. Someone else will.
Reaching means not being cowardice.
-Turning to the things in life and people who seem special, and you’d want in other chapters of your life. ✨ (Not wanting things and wanting someone who wanted you but refusing to reach or meet their reach, and letting them be embraced by someone else).
Chasing means they’re running away from you, and they’re not for you. If they’re *back
is to you*- it means you’re not someone they’re interested in, nor in their special bubbles/circles.
If they’re *getting further from you* it means you’re not someone they would want to see later, in other chapters of their lives.
Reaching? Good trait to have. (means you know what you want and not afraid of it, and you believe you deserve to be happy).
Chasing? people is bad. Chasing dreams is more worthwhile. Sometimes dreams require the chase because they’re set so high or quite the distance a ways.
*Just like the old trusty saying: you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. You can chase a person ALL YOU WANT, and be standing RIGHT NEXT DOOR to their heart. 🫀🫁👥♥️
Shoulder-to-shoulder, and it will still not make their heart love you, any more than they did before. No distance will change their heart. You can’t change it.
Just as no distance changes true love. 💞
We always chase and seek the things; the people, that were never meant for us. Wanting love.
All it takes is a simple reach, and we will be met with love.. when it’s the right person. Almost like this:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/VHqkU9QCxI8https://www.youtube.com/embed/d5Q8QA6VWIAhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/c8UHodVy9I0
So as you can see:
you reach for the one who reaches back for you with open arms, and NOT their back, and if this is mutual, and stays frequent, you’ll always find a two-set of arms you can call home. Growing and quite literally rolling together, everywhere, when you realize the future you have- includes them and has them in it. They don’t “get in the way” of your goals and vice versa. They’ll always… Be. There. 💞✨🫂 🦧🦧
I agree. Usually the things we leave at the store someone else WILL buy lol
Doesn’t mean I’m going to run to all the stores and start hoarding “what ever I can find.”
I have my eyes on a set bag. I’ll wait for it to be in stock, and not sweat buying it, and love carrying it with me wherever I go.
That’s healthy. That’s having what’s meant for you and what you had your sights set upon.
Making decisions as a reaction to other people and what’s happening around you is UNHEALTHY.
stress-inducing and thus for that reason, death increasing, and immune system decreasing. It’s just not a way to live.
I agree completely
@ChillaxingLove thanks and ofc, to add:
Reaching doesn’t mean we wait for things to just come to us. Ofc we are just walking and reaching for things in our vicinities. Why would we run out of our way, and bend over backwards for tons of other people, when we are on our own journeys to our own goals? 🤷♀️
We walk on our own set path and reach for the people who seem significant enough to us, and if they reach for us- a link is met. 🫂🤝
Obviously, if we see someone and something as a rare opportunity, we can certainly reach for it, but chasing it based on its rarity, does not determine we will have it. ☝️👀
Just as love, mentioned earlier, it’s rarity does not secure its fate with us.
Reaching, and arms at elbows length/ at our sides, is the wise thing to do.
Only those CLOSE enough to us, will notice your arms in open/ welcoming gesture, that means they’re interested in YOU enough.
If your arms are outstretched, you welcome other people who may not mean well for you, and would embrace to lead you on and make desperation occur, as well as other terrible things, so we must not chase or run for others, and simply reach for ones who seem of value.
Reaching and hugs/ embracing:
are intimate-
chasing and tackling is… chaotic, lmao.
@grega239 in what context? Like at the end of life? In the middle of one’s own journey?
If it’s the end of life, and one never finds someone who reached for them. That is a sad thing to realize, and it doesn’t mean they “weren’t good enough,” or anything like that.
It just means they never found someone who would have been right for them.
Others who see something like this happen to an elderly person
Can then decide if they want to spend their time chasing or being met by those who purposely and hurt fully reach for us, and then leave us as a means of entertainment or mental/health disorder (narcissistic/ or other types of people would love someone being desperate for them, and 9 times out of 10 or more like 900 times out of 1,000, the chaser will not be satisfied and have their needs properly met by the disordered person they chased).
Maybe some who noticed the old person without a pair of arms to embrace them, will decide to search along their journeys for their own, and at some point for themselves they may chase and cling, or move on learning to emotionally and mentally embrace their OWN PATH. ✨
I’d ask you when have you ever seen someone described as “clingy” being actually happy in that relationship,
When has anyone paired up with a narcissist ever been happy?
Those who would may be mentally changed. Some people will allow mentally disordered people to rewire parts of their brain as a coping mechanism. They stay with those absurdities and abusive relationships because they don’t wish to be alone.
The sane ones will possibly be remorseful or self-pitying they never found anyone, and
The ones who learned to find happiness elsewhere, found it in the almost “spiritual”- like arms of: their hobbies/ nature/ and beautiful things, experienced all across the globe.
It’s better to be focused on the path and notice people close by. It’s not good to be hyper focused with everyone else who in actuality are focused more so on their goals and paths than others.
We have these paths for a reason!
Use your feet on the path. Not your legs (no desperate running).
Use your hands instead of your arms and legs. (Reach but nothing past a person’s metaphorical side, and not using your legs to run to other people and pulling/ clinging on them).
Clingers don’t gain much of anything, but hurt hearts.
Have to stick the basic methods. It’s like a puzzle 🧩/ it’s a formula/ it’s the best way to go about our life/ our goals/ and the POSSIBILITY of love.
Finding someone compatible/ companionship is not guaranteed to us.
If all else fails, yes buy a dog or a cat. They cannot reach but they do in their own ways 😅🙌. 🐕🐈⬛
I am speaking this to you as someone who is not currently in a relationship and my first real relationship only lasted 4-6 months on and off- with someone who was socially/ mentally hurt and dysfunctional- whom I did fall out of and HAD to fall out of love with
Because they never embraced me back.
They held me at the beginning and constantly let me reach and cling to them.
Can you imagine the frustration? So I warn others and implore them, not run 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ for anyone and do not cling to those who do not reach for us. It will save you a different form of heartache, which at many times is almost too much to bear.
Those heartaches are WORSE than being rejected by someone’s reach, or never meeting someone compatible. Those heartaches appear to us as premeditated or just indifferent to our struggles, and that’s far worse than if we just had focused on our paths.
It’s your decision! No one can decide for you.
@grega239 well none of us are gurus in love and if you just want sex there are methods for that.
If it’s love none here can tell you where to look and who will b the one for you and exactly where they would happen.
I wish we could but we can’t. Out of us in the question post, who knows is it possible some of us here would never find love? Maybe. If that is the case I cannot tell any one here to keep searching for love if they will never be at that right moment in time and place to find it, to begin with.
It’s about priorities. If that is something one prioritized then they will make space in their life and in the dating game to always find it.
I think this would look something like:
Having one hand on the wheel and another that reaches out for someone else’s hand.
It’s being balanced.
If both hands are off of what you’re supposed to be focused on and you’re reaching for others. You could crash. If you have both hands on your focused task, then you will miss the opportunity and possibility to meet someone else’s grasp.
I speak in metaphor because it’s just easier than speaking about people’s specific circumstances and lifestyles. All of that is varied but the core of it is the same.
For you and in dating, I would simply suggest visiting fun places to you so you can boost your chances of meeting a like-minded person who shares the same passionate hobbies.
If you have a certain attitude of life, maybe try visiting places that work hard for things and fixing the world, even if just as a volunteer, and there you may meet people and more specifically women who share some of the same ethics and beliefs as you.
If you’re looking for someone DIFFERENT and yet compatible. That’s just a mathematical chance I am not even aware of. You have to decide if you will continue keep your eyes open for suitable dates at those places.
You can be there. They can be there.
But nothing is guaranteed.
If you want consistent relationship, you may have better luck finding that, and most people settle for that and find it more substantial.
Easiest to find is: sex
Second easiest: consistent relationships
The hardest to find: compatible love
So see what you value and prioritize and decide if you will continue to look for it.
I hope this aid you in your journey and search!
I’m not knowing to where true love can be found!
I only know the basics of how people will either receive you or turn away from you. Not just you. The “you” is all of us in general.
Trust, I wish it were that simple.
Those who are strong fervent lovers can usually be compatible with anyone because they’re so agreeable and understanding. The ones who love and are affectionate but hold their own beliefs and preferences, is where things get a bit tricky. So it’s just maneuvering through that to find the best fit.
:]
You can chase or sit in the dugout and they still will have plenty of other bases to run to. So it won't even matter 😂
You should go up to old rich guys and use that baseball joke. They'll be charmed
@RandomGuy1030 i think im perfectly fine only using it around broke to financially stable guys close in age
Look who liked ur comment lol. 50+ year old white men
@RandomGuy1030 Most likely baseball lovers and that don’t mean they’re rich 🤷♀️
They got 4 hours to watch people hit a ball. If they ain't rich God help them
Black women are incredibly attractive to old white men. Today's the day they can finally openly date a fine young black woman without being judged by racists
@RandomGuy1030 i love baseball tho 🤷♀️ And yea them being more than 4 years older than me is still unappealing to me. I also dont care about a guy being rich or not
@RandomGuy1030 but baseball is an American past time. Most of the young guys on here may not know of baseball, or never played it. The younger younger ones will be the ones actually playing or competing to play it professionally. Scholarships; etc.
Not just to “look good.” Maybe as a hobby, though, who knows.
I’m not entirely sure how many people on Gag are pro or semi pro athletes, and at the same time this isn’t a dating site in technicality and actuality.
You seeing those likers are only statistics to users of GaG and not relative to people in public in America, or other.
They all just happened to share a common denominator of age. They’re also notable users of GaG, but they don’t represent all of GaG either.
Good pattern you saw but nothing mathematical or definite about them, or desii.
Not a lot of young males online of gag because they can’t get physical stuff and not many men are visionaries or like long term plans. You see many men in their young years willing to be ambitious and risky earlier on and how many young 20 males invest in stocks or prioritize their savings account?
So you won’t find too many young 20-30 age grouped males on here
Unless their from other countries and looking for some possible nxdes or are somewhat emo/ healing from some break ups/ friendships and any relationship that might’ve gone sour and affected them in some significant way (s).
Was her joke funny? I thought so and I’m a 20 female, and not a male. Her joke is seen among the users of GaG, and doesn’t determine if it’s funny in essence or proper rating, just how many people perceive it as funny from on here.
Don’t know if this makes sense, but yeah.
Carry on lol
@DizzyDesii it was pretty funny, from what I perceived lol 😂👍💯
I'm not chasing anyone either. I'm like a tree firmly planted in the ground

Exactly as I know this to be true. if one does not grow some nads and make it known that he/she is available and go chat them up 10 minutes and move on it then guy spying and listening with in earshot 👂 will and use the advantage that individual provided. Yes, I’ve done that many times and even inserted myself in her line of thinking and discussion while the poor sucker spins wheels with awkward moment…. Guess who wins and earns respect of both with a joke in those times demonstrating one who makes painful moments go away 💪. “Now this is the MSN zi want with flushed face and soft eyes.” 😎
Some guy did that with me but it wasn't for lack of me trying, it was just that she rejected me and then he moved in next.
If you don’t approach them someone else will.
But “chasing” is a different story. Men who “chase” women usually chase them off or end up chasing the friendzone.
Don’t get me wrong you need to make your interest and intentions clear in the beginning. But once a woman knows where I stand she can make a choice to reciprocate, reject or in a worst case scenario exploit the attention via games/friéndzone bs.
If she is interested she will help you. She will won’t ignore more than 2 texts from you. She won’t wait longer than 24 hours to respond (unless it’s a rare case where she’s traveling or having an emergency). She will engage in conversation with you and won’t be “one wordy”.
She will show positive body language, smile and hint around about you “being cute”. She will laugh at your corny jokes even if you srent that funny. She might still shit test you (all women do this subconsciously) but her tests will be seldom and easy to pass. Although she might accept expensive dinners/dates she does not expect or worse require them.
The absolutely most difficult part of all this in the beginning of course. Men are expected to stick their necks out 70 to 90%+ of the time. Most women unfortunately take that for granted too.
After you took the risk and she didn’t immediately reject you then you have to carefully assess her reactions. If they are positive you can carefully “chase” a bit more. But if you get unsure signals from her then more often than not the ugly truth is the truth. This when you got to stop chasing and withdraw. If there is any chance then your absence might peak her curiosity because women like mystery/challenge. However this is where most men go wrong and keep pursuing a lost cause or worse set themselves up to be exploited (friéndzone).
Yea, maybe 10 years ago this could have been some relatively solid advice but I don't know how much I believe this anymore.
Men should just focus on themselves. Meaning they should do their best to maintain their body, get a good job, build a lifestyle develop their personality.
Forget for a minute woman will want you, you'll just be a happier person. Imagine waking up every day and knowing it's going to be a good day because you have a plan for how you're going to work towards your goals.
Woman are gonna do what they do. If you are doing the right thing, you shouldn't need to chase girls to get them. If you want someone specific and they're not interested in you, they'll probably try to manipulate you at some point.
I'm not saying never chase a woman, I'm saying having a mentality that if you don't chase woman you shouldn't expect to get lucky is stupid.
you'll always lose money chasing woman but you'll never lose woman chacing money
amen to that
If they make you chase them, they are playing you like a fish and you are and always will be unequally yoked. One did that with me and kept putting me off because she wasn't ready to even meet in person.. I never stopped messaging her but I decided she wasn't one to pursue and ended up finding and being with another. The first was outraged when she realized it and I told her why. She us still alone 8 years later.
Do you believe they are making you? Isn't in the end your choice?
If you believe that "somewhere there's a someone for everyone", you should only chase the ones you're really interested in -- but you have to do it right. If they don't show any interest in "being chased", then chase someone else.
True very true.
It's true in the sense that if a man takes no action a woman will conclude that he is either uninterested or too passive to be a good partner. This happened to me when I was young and shy, and I have seen it happen to others -- a man was crushing on a woman but was too shy to ask her out, and although she liked him, she assumed he wasn't interested.
It's not true in the sense that a man should continue asking after she has declined.
if you're the type of giy who fuckef a promiscuous woman/womEn or prostitute WOMEN theb you want me yo be interested in these women because if not i'm guilty of discrimination
i just wanna tell uou that if i see you i wanna kill you with my bare hands
What are you going on about? You got the right question here? lol
No. Its more like fishing, if you are using the right bait all you need do is pull out your rod and wait for a nibble.
HA! You're EXACTLY correct!
When a friend of mine started "kicking himself" for lack of action on the girl he was crushing on, I told him it's similar to that "You snooze, you lose!" situation.
If you don't chase them they can't wreck your life.
LOL ,
Agree , someone else will chase them , but let them have them , if someone really likes you , they wouldn’t be running from you in the first place
and they can have it...
if they're not interested nor I'll be... lol
Agree. That is my philosophy. Grab a chance. If not, someone else will!
If you're a girl, likely agree. If you're a guy, likely disagree. Lol.
The poll results are interesting.
if they run too fast, they don't want you catch them
Maybe in some cases but if you're chasing someone who doesn't want you, you're screwed from the get-go.
Better know who you are chasing or don't care about rejection. Can't always know 100%
I've been rejected before chasing someone, I was screwed.
You still chased after getting rejected?
No, I backed off. Her rejecting me turned me off.
Okay yes as it should.
I could never win with chasing so my mom set me up with someone.
How did that work out?
Great, actually.
That is self-evidently correct, but I no longer care.
The juice is not worth the squeeze.
MGTOW monk for 22 years.
If you don't ask them out, of course someone else is going to. As far as the term "chase" goes though, I'm not chasing anybody because if you have to chase them either they don't want you or they're playing games.
Yes and no. If you don't chase them someone else will catch them. But then that person will f*** them then kick them to the curb. Because she doesn't want to really put any effort in and therefore will repeat this pattern to she wises up and realizes relationships are about 2 people or until she's old, worn out and bitter.
Chasing is ridiculous.
As Rosexoxo said: if you don't reach out, they are out. Simple.
I disagree. when men chase women, women get turned off and move to the next guy who never chases them. instead they are chasing the guy
In the words of Courtney Ryan; chasing implies that what you are running after doesn’t want to be caught.
If you need to chase them, they don't want you to catch them. Not saying don't make an effort but don't beat yourself up to catch someone.
If I have to chase them and catch them, it makes me a predator.
I never use the term 'chase' in a dating context as I find the whole concept absurd.
That's the sort of shit predators and serial killers come up with,
Nah just ignore them. Let them chase you instead if they play dumb games better get them off that shit or let them go. Nobody need that crap.
Yes, you snooze, you lose.
Agree, and if they don't chase me, someone else will.
I agree you don't chace potential deals, instead of funding me, they end up screwed via someone else
Let them catch them. You don't have to chase and beg for the right person to desire to be with you.
If a girl wants me to chase her, then I won't do it. If a girl likes me and I like her, I shouldn't need to chase her to get her to date me.
Life is more than chasing women, if others wanna catch them and she wants to be chased by other dudes, let them have her. If she really likes you she will stay, otherwise, it's just forced and she will leave eventually.
Tru dat but chasing them also wastes ur time. Pls they dont really care for u better off alone than to be with someone that doesn't care for u.
I’d rather wait for a beautiful crane to land from a land far away than settle for poop covered baseballs. Sometimes avoiding the throw is better.
Snooze you lose. Or get friend zoned.
You will get Friend-Zoned either way, if she doesn't find you physically attractive.
@NewYorkCity
That's true. But even if she finds you physically attractive, if you don't make a move it can easily turn into friend zone. Gotta move and do it soon. There are exceptions of course.
You know, I'm 35 and I have been around, so I can confidently say that 90%+ of all handsome and Really Handsome guys, don't snooze when they are trying to pick up girls, it is not in their biological nature, because those type of guys are self-aware of their looks and high desirability to Most girls.
@NewYorkCity
The really good looking guys don't have to chase. They are being chased. They don't have to do a thing.
💯 Fact!
Can of worms here:
1. But aren't looks relative? !
2. The good-looking guys can manage to be jerks and STILL land women. Same with the opposite sex.
@TenderFantasy Looks are 100% relative and let no one change or cloud your mind with imaginary progressive B. S. You can notice that right from the very beginning of a human life. Even when kids are only 3,4 and 5 years old, they are automatically trying to make friends or play with the most attractive kids on a playground or school, even though they don't understand at all what they are doing and why they are gravitating toward such people. Heck, even babies tend to make more eye contacts with people who are very beautiful or handsome. Looks in this physical realm are EXTREMELY important factor when it comes to dating, getting a high paying job or even getting away with bad things that they deliberately have done.
@NewYorkCity Yes exactly. 1000% facts. Sad and true.
@TenderFantasy
"The good-looking guys can manage to be jerks and STILL land women"
Because they get by with being jerks. A lot of women don't care, or they rationalize it, or they think they will be the ONE who can reel the guy in and tame him.
However from what I've seen, most of these guys get enough experience with women, they actually get pretty good at treating them right. Except for one important thing - they have roaming eyes and plenty of opportunities, which is a lot of temptation.
Doesn't matter. When I die, only I will die. No one else will die in my place.
nah the more you chase, the less your chances are
If you want something bad enough you do whatever it takes to get it.
I dont wear a blue uniform anymore I dont chase people ;)
I wouldn't recommend chasing
some just want to be chased but never to be got
Comes around goes around, you get what you give. You chase someone and someone will chase you out of nowhere
I disagree with that.
yes, if you snooze , you lose.
I stopped trying
Actually, two of my favorite GFs chased me!
Agree, but what u trying to convince me?
Totally true.
You snooze you lose
Then *
Yeah I typed it in and it spelled than so... another reason for an edit button.
I agree 100%.
