Is their any truth behind the saying, push and they will run, but if you pull away they will chase you?

My ex told me she has realized she doesn't wanna be with me after the time apart made her realize and she says for me to move on.if she sees me not being as needy. maybe she wants to date other guys and just have fun being single. Do you think if I ignore her message saying she doesn't wanna be with me. she mite be wondering if I'm bothered anymore...hence pulling away for a change..do you think she will start chasing more?

There was a girl I was chasing her. Back story that girl n I were knw each other 2 years now cuz my parents n her parents were friend. Back in a few months she n her parents came to visit our house n we somehow got a chance to talk so we exchange ph no. That night was has to go back to college. But at that night she start to text me and we somehow making a conversion and later on day by day we starting to texting each other very often and start making a ph call very often too. So I though she seem to like me so I decided to tell her that I love her that night she was not mad or anything and I ask her answer she said wait for 4 month. She want to find out that I'm really love her she dont trust me thats wht she said so on and we keep talking each other in a phone and texting later on I moved to where the city she is lived and we start to seeing each other very often going to theaters watching movie and having dinner very often. And I ask her answer again and she refuse to give me so I was really feel bad about that n upset so I kinda like ask her again n again she said I dont love u yet so I was like wtf and I feel really down in fund of her she was mad and said dont act that way she dont like it. She said ''I dont love u yet doesn't mean I'm not going to love u" I was like what kind of answer is tht. But I dont want to argument with her so by the way "we do argument very often" so and we seeing each other like always and I always often hug her she sometime let me hug it but sometime she say we r not couple no hug. Later we had a big argument about something I was try to make her up but she refuse so many time so tht time I stop calling her n give up on her... But after a few days she texted me n call my ph I dont pick up so she ask her mom to call my mom n come n visit my house and that night we start to talk each other back and I kissed her for the first time she is not mad and we keep on doing the same kissing often she still refuse to give me answer still. Last month she moved to new place and she went back to her parents home for a month she told me not to call her or text her so I listen. Now she came back to here and she dont call me anymore! No texting or anything suddenly change! I call her won't pick up and not letting me see her just keep saying being busy, not in a mood to talk, dont ask me question, is been a week now what should I do? She suddenly change! Why she being change like that? What do I do about it? She refuse to let me meet her too! Help..

Its very true..learned this from personal experience this month, and then the ex broke it down to me, and even told me how she felt..if you give them space they can miss you, try to work it out, and clear there head

Its absolutely true. 100000000%. I should know because I'm somewhat like this. When I like a guy the chase is fun and if they act like they don't like me its a challenge. And when they do and they start to get needy its a MAJOR turn-off.

Guys are the same - I have an ex that contacted me after I stopped contacting him for a long time.

A person can't miss you if you are always there. Youve got to give her space and I mean A LOT of space. She will maybe be relieved at first but then she will suddenly start to wonder where you are and why you aren't calling or coming by anymore, she will miss not being chased by you and yearn for it again. Hence she will contact you again.

If she contacts you be nice but keep it SHORT and pretend you are really busy. She will lose her mind, I promise lol

I think it's true in most cases but not ALWAYS. I think if your relationship ended whilst you were both still in love, and there was no cheating, etc, then yes it often does happen.

It's probably 99% true that once you stop chasing around after them, they wonder why you aren't, and soon contact you. It's always happened to me once I've done it.
