With the rise of feminism men worry about there role and that's the problem. A man's role has NOT changed. Yes a woman can do for herself now and that's fine. But a guy should NEVER worry about what a woman accepts about him. A man should know what he wants, not be afraid to communicate it, and if she doesn't agree then put her on the curb.

I know some are going to read this and think this is sexust, but it's NOT. A man should always remember he's a man. I'm not saying a put a woman on the curb everytime she disagrees with you. I'm saying I man has convictions he knows his boundaries. And he knows when a woman is crossing them. The best thing a man can do is always know his worth and what he's willing to tolerate. If the wording bothers you then don't think of it as putting her on the curb. Think of it as releasing her for some other guy to pick up. There are 3.5 billion women on this planet. In that sense she is not special. The only think that makes her special is the effort she's willing to put forth in the relationship with the guy.
