I'm I wasiting my time with guy?

Had date number 2 planned with guy this aftenoon.
Got a text around 9:30am saying he wasn’t feeling so good and maybe meeting tomorrow would be better. Or no problem if not can still come today.

I wasn’t sure if he was telling the truth or not, but didn’t want to meet with someone who was unwell or didn’t really want to meet as it wouldn’t be fun.

So I said I had plans, but could reschedule as I don’t want him to think i’m always free.
He said thanks and apologies again.
We left it at that and I just had a random thought to check tinder and it show’s his distance has changed and he’s like an 1hr away from his area.

I know this is only a second date, but would you see this as a red flag?

I take it if he didn’t want to see me he would have just cancel and wouldn’t haven’t suggested rescheduling?

I would give him the benefit of the doubt. He could be changing his tires, giving his grandma a ride to the hospital, babysitting his sisters kid, driving to the accountant to get do his income taxes, buying essential car or house parts for an emergency house repair etc...

It sounds like to me he doesn’t want to have a second date, but doesn’t want to be cruel by bluntly coming out and saying it directly. Sounds like he wanted to gently let you down by saying he couldn’t make it not “feeling well” and IF there was any other communication things would not work out due to other schedule problems or again not “feeling well.”

Thanks I didn't responded after that and he text this morning saying what time he's coming and that he's looking foward to it.
