Is this a typical trend for guys?

In high school I noticed that a lot of guys would chase after intelligent and chaste girls who weren't too good looking and had average or slightly bigger bodies such as 135 or 140 pounds while the average teenager is 120 pounds. There faces might have been a 5 out of 10 and the average high school student is a 7 out of 10. I think the guy might assume a quiet and unattractive girl would be less disloyal or unfaithful.

Intelligent girls are more interesting to spend time with. Some (not all!) traditionally attractive girls can act as if their beauty is all they need to bring to an relationship.

Most girls I know are prmiscuous or/and cheaters. I would definitely always prefer someone less attractive who is a virgin.

Honestly, the reason I would date some lesser attractive girls I did in high school was they had fewer guys after them so were more likely to let me “go all the way” with them in bed. That was my only goal, still a secondary one but not the only goal now.

I know I don't mind "quiet girls" because they also tend to be less drama and less attached to social media.
