Would it be ok for me to go ahead and text this guy first?

Anonymous

Most the time, he is the one initiating texting. I reply when he reaches out. Sometimes, when he stops replying, he never responds to the message the next day and may go a day or more without saying anything else.

Now, for some background - this guy does seem to like me based off of how he acts and things he says. I like him too. He is also bad with feelings (expressing them and such) and is really bad at determining when a girl is flirting with him (he has admitted this himself). So, I've been doing my best to demonstrate my interest gently, without being too overbearing. He has ADHD as well, so I understand that can certainly give you "scatter brain" and cause you to simply forget you never replied to someone.

My question - since I was the last one to send a text during the last conversation and he didn't answer it, would it be ok for me to go ahead and text him first today to initiate a new conversation? I haven't texted him yet today, so it wouldn't be a "double text" or "spam text" anything. Since he usually initiates our texting chats, I wanted to maybe initiate first for once so he maybe sees even more that yes, I do like him too. I just don't want to be annoying or too clingy/pushy about things.

I am typically very good about giving him his space and tend to let him come to me. But I've been kind of worried that maybe he is under the impression I'm not that interested since he is usually the one always texting first. I definitely don't want him to get the wrong idea and think I'm not interested!

Opinions would be great! Thanks!
