My fiancé is 18 and I know I get it… he’s super young and he barley turned 18 in March but he’s such a caring, loyal, devoted, respectful guy to me but he acts older than his age. I’m turning 25 in October and I know people would shake their heads since I’ve been an adult for 7 years and he is barley an adult and still a teen but the connection and actions he proves to me shows so much and I did try to date older guys before and my age but it just didn’t work out so i do have an open mind now that younger people can too be mature depending how they’re raised and other factors.

For those asking or wondering if I met him before he was 18 the answer is NO. Nobody knows nor would understand the emotional struggles and hurdles I’ve faced to meet my other half & I’m tired of rumors & labels. Prior to him I was trying to date someone my age 24 from school I used to know but that guy couldn’t offer me commitment & had a porn addiction! No way could I have trusted someone even tho they were my age then when my fiancé came along it was IN may two months after his birthday on Fb

Yes, it is possible. My husband and I got married when he was 18, by that time he was already ahead of most men in their early twenties. But that said, is the age Gap in your specific situation is pretty icky in my opinion.

I get what you’re saying, but some guys really can have older souls inside them and be ahead than guys even that are in their 20s. I was almost going to give someone my own age a chance but he had a porn and sex addiction and couldn’t offer me the commitment I was looking for let alone his body count was high and a big turn off

@LazerBean this guy told me he had those issues the guy with the addictions, I just tried to be a friend and see what would happen and give him a fair shot but once he lied and deceived me I had to cut him off. I wouldn’t see it as that because I feel like with dating or marriage most people definitely care about the health and well being of their partner and wouldn’t wanna date or marry a person who’s been around. Not meaning that in a disturbing way but that is how you know someone because these days people can be unpredictable.

As I told someone else on my comment below which I think clarified my point, that I wasn’t specifically seeking an 18 year old which is true, we just happened to hit things off and prior to meeting my fiancé I tried to date people my age and was even involved with someone my own age before but this was a guy who had a poor addiction AT 24 years old and couldn’t offer me commitment but when I met my fiancé despite him being so young we instantly hit it off and connected so passionately together and he respects me and treats me like a Queen.

I know everything seems to be moving fast but his actions speak so much volume and sometimes you just know. He had swiped on my profile and I didn’t think much of it till we started talking and he treated me for a movie and held my hand, listened to me, and we looked into eachothers eyes and knew there was something there. I know realistically people would date or marry someone close in range, I’ve went from people being 27 to being 30 year old men and only wanting sex to the guy from my school who was the same age trying to come back in contact only to try to get sex from me too and having a porn and sex addiction at nearly 25 which is embarrassing for him to be meeting an 18 year old who is still young with more life to live but has an older soul.

I don’t doubt that he might be a good guy, but it remains to be seen whether he can handle the stress of being a parent and having added responsibilities. He’s at the age where most are just getting their lives started. His primary focus right now should be on establishing himself better, not marrying off as fast as possible.

I hate to say it but there's almost no way where an 18 and 25 year old are a good match. You're in VERY different phases of life. 18 is a whole baby even if he is more mature than the average 18 year old.

I can’t say I didn’t try to date my age.. I was involved before with someone who was 24 like me and the guy had a high body count and porn addiction and couldn’t offer commitment. Talk about different places.. my fiancé is the better match because his body count is low, he has a good head on his shoulders and was raised by a loving family and is serious when it comes to his loved ones, friends, and our relationship.

Congratulations on being engaged. That's great. Yes, people's mentality and attitude (shit, people in general) are different. They can be wise, kind, caring at any age or be dumb or be a complete asshole or just not care. Sounds like you have a good one.
