Should I see thist through or am I delusional?

We're 27 and 26. Started dating a little over 2 months ago and I really like him.

Sadly, today I learned his work contract is up and he is going to move back across the country to finish his last year of post doc stuff.

He is actively trying to get a new 2 year contract in the state We're in now. BUT he wouldn't start that until next summer.

So we would have a long distance situation. He has time off intermittently where he said he would absolutely visit.

But I'm struggling to decide if its stupid or not. He's still here for another month. Granted, he also wholeheartedly WANTS to continue this but said its up to me.

Is it crazy to try this? It's the first time I've felt a connection with someone in a LONG time.

well if you have the faith y'all can make it work then you have to know its a leap of faith because at the end not only can anything happen but if it does (god forbid) then you would just waste whatever time y'all used together and i would say it's definitely something to take to consideration because lets not forget that either one or maybe even both can end up finding a person later on, one thats righr infront of you and then y'all will have this long term connection tie that either needs to be broken or kept alive and if you really think of it, its a decision but if you think of possibilities and different possible outcomes, there's plenty and can either be good or bad so it depends.
