Guys always pay, but women, please, you need to at least reach for the bill. If you don't, it makes it look like you think you expect us to, which makes you look entitled. you're NOT ENTITLED

Why should the guy always pay the bill and why is it the guy who has to put more effort into a potential relationship. No wonder why women struggle to have long lasting relationships because they become too damn high maintenance

Agree
I’ve never had an issue w paying the bill but nowadays w girls wanting equality, let them pay their share. It’s only fair.
My husband has been happily paying for over 7 years, but I pay for many things too, so it all evens out.
Women will come in here and say whoever asked pays fully knowing that men are expected to ask to go on dates
Yes, the man should always pay. That includes first dates.
What entitlement...
If they both work then split the bill or use 2 checks
It cool to see skater boy digging for enough to by me lunch
Call me old fashioned but I’ll be paying for the date unless she invites me and offers to pay
For a first date, I'd say pay for your own thing but only for a coffee shop. If your date throws a fit then she's not worth it.
I wouldn't mind paying for the rest of the dates
Unless it's been discussed earlier, I believe the guy should pay.
Look at it this way, what would change if we swap male/female here? Nothing, so we should just split it.
It's a social norm that the guy offers to pay, that's the only logical reason we do it.
It is unfair to men. I disagree. Girls should also pay and prove they are serious.
Yes I do. And also thing females should let him smash if he paying.
Chivalry will always be amongst us. And I feel masculinity forcing guys to insist “they can take care of their ladies.”
It is good that you would split the bill in the initial date
I am continually amazed at the "logic" women use to justify their hypocrisy about gender roles.
I'd say it depends on the first date.
I paid. It was never some issue with me.
First date I always pay.
