So we've been dating for about 4 months which is honestly not that long. When I first met her, she had her hair really long, which obviously means she had not changed it much in years. I also look at old pics of her where its basically the same. So she cut about half of it off. Then a month later basically cut it SUPER short. Now she has just dyed it like a week ago. Why did she go from having the same hairstyle for years to changing it like every month now?

It is a known fact that women often change their hairstyle after a breakup, so there can be a link to their relationship status
In your case of course it's not a breakup, don't worry, but it seems to work oppositely as well. Being in a relationship may have increased her confidence enough to be ready for a change.
It could even be a good sign. Long hair is generally the most effective in attracting guys, so now that she has a guy she does not have to conform to the rules of maximizing her attractiveness. It could indicate she wants to stay with you.
Any woman who insists that she is doing it only for herself without even subconsious considerations for men is fooling herself.
When you asked her, what did she say?
she said she was "ready for a change" I asked her why she keeps changing it over and over and she said she didn't know.
