Would you date someone with PTSD?

Like a man who served in the military. Although he is considerate, a gentleman and kind, he frowns much of the time, sobs more than laughs, and even screams in the night from nightmares in the war. Remember he's not a dick, just intense and has PTSD. He respects women nonetheless.

From personal experience, I was with a man for a few years that had PTSD, initially I wanted to be supportive and understanding, I cared about him immensely! Eventually I noticed the trends, and the excuses for behavior, I’d allow the poor behavior in attempt to be empathetic towards him. But he’d also stop taking his meds, was very specific about who his therapist was, it was a rollercoaster. He is still dear to me but I am trying to maintain my job and raise three kids it was to much. You have to protect yourself too, as hard as it is and as much as you may care about him, your feelings and emotions matter too.

I would yes. A lot of people though don’t know how to be there emotionally for someone and they can’t ever express feelings even inside their own house. Irs really disgusting.



I get the fact some people aren’t made for each other. Some don’t know how to deal with it, which is fine. But they need to find someone better.

But we both held on to each other and we both made it past
