Why do men come back when you move on?

In my experience, every time a guy breaks up with me, or ghosts me after a few dates, they end up coming back when I have moved on. The minute I stop caring, they come back, even though they were the ones ending things with me. It's like they have a radar or something. Why do men (or maybe women also?) come back when you've moved on?

I am guess this is not just guys that do it. I mean I don't but I don't first ghost people either. I just say it isn't going to work and move on. I don't go back. I have also never had the experience that you are describing. Once we have moved on that is it. As for why guys are doing it? Maybe the finally realized that they made a mistake and shouldn't have given up on you that soon. I don't know really what else could be the reason. Maybe they were shopping around and ended back at the register with an empty cart and decided to try again with you. Beats me...
