Why does my boyfriend make me look bad?

I have tried to be the best girlfriend to him but he has made up lies about me and he doesn't communicate with me about what is bothering him but he thinks I am not treating him well. Is this not fair to me? He thinks that I have issues and points them out to me when we watch movies. Why does he do this when I do nothing wrong with him.

Honestly that’s hard to say. Because in truth he may be telling you the truth. Most people don’t realize their faults, they act as if they’re doing everything for their partner, the best man or girl on the face of this earth to them. Couldn’t really say because you’re giving us your version of what you think is really going on when he probably has a different version that may be true.

Better question is why are you still calling him your boyfriend? Anyone that makes up lies about you is toxic. I would be out the door if someone did that to me. The only reason I can think he is doing it is to make himself feel better about how he treats you. I don't know what kinda lies he makes up since you don't mention but don't you see that as a huge red flag? Also you say the communication isn't there. That is a recipe for disaster. I know that it is never easy to leave someone but this just doesn't sound like it is going to work out in the long run.
