What are your thoughts on Justin Timberlake forcing Britney Spears to get an abortion when they were dating?

I am not sure about this one... I mean I have no idea if that is true or not, but I will assume you are correct @coachTanthony and will give you the benefit of the doubt.

So now I am trying to go back to 1998 or somewhere in my mind and memories around that time frame... at that time, Brittiny was the quintessential "Girl Next Door". She was really cashing in on that image. We all know at this point in time (2023) that she was being managed and pull and twisted in a lot of different ways by her family, industry and others.

Now I am not trying to get into an abortion debate here... seriously if anyone tries to debate abortion with me, I will ignore them. I am pro-life, but I also have a liberation vein that runs through me, and I am against banning things... when it limits others, even those that disagree with me, right to choose and decide for themselves. I am not going to call abortion murder, but I honestly do not know when a life is a life, but personally I believe it happens at some point between heartbeat but before it actually has a soul. But that is my personal belief, nobody is going to change my mind about it... because there is no way of proving it or disproving it, so it's all a pointless debate to me.

Now, let's have an objective conversation here if we can. Look at Brittney today. Look at all the turmoil, drama and things she has had to deal with and overcome. Like from a very young age everyone was taking advantage of her, and she was so very young, it's really hard for anyone to understand how hard that had to be for her. Seriously people, she was being used and abuse by almost everyone and she was a young child herself.

Look at all the pain and suffering she has had to go through in the public eye, the humiliation and abuse. What quality of life do you think that child would have had... and from a business perspective, Brittney having a baby at 16 would have been brutal.

So, lets step back from this for a second and appreciate that Brittney has had a hard life... and fame and fortune does not make for happiness alone. Let's appreciate that she was a victim of a lot of things and not pile on her for this. According to the law she did nothing wrong, and we have to accept and appreciate that at her age, at that time, young people struggle, and they deserve our sympathy and support.

He forced her? That is BS. When you show up at a doctors office and disrobe to have a doctor enter you to kill the baby... only the girl can do that.

She never said he "forced" her, she said she agreed to it. They were both very young and VERY famous at the time, and both were claiming to be virgins, as well. Can you imagine what would've happened to both of their careers if she had kept the baby, especially knowing that Justin wasn't ready to be a father?
Justin has been problematic for a very long time, that is true, but did he not have a right to feel like he wasn't ready or just couldn't be a good father back then? Who's to say that she would've been a good mother at the time, too?
It's easy to paint Justin as the bad guy because of the things he said and did after their break up, but I'm seeing a lot of one-sided hate on something that really is none of our business anyway.

I dont feel someone can FORCE someone to abort. Now hollyweird may have had some sacrificial cult which is different. A parent can bully a child into aborting if they don’t want to be kicked out of their home. But a boyfriend forcing his girl to abort? Mmm did he hold a knife to her and the doctors throat? Did he push her down steps and make her miscarry? Or did he just threaten to breakup with her? In the end, the person carrying the baby is the main one that should be held accountable for having aborted.

he didn't force her. from what i read he said he wanted her to get an abortion because he wasn't ready to be a dad. and lets be realistic that was unlikely her first or last abortion

Bad Justin for holding a gun to her head and driving her down to the backstreet abortion clinic, then tying her down to the operating table for an abortion doctor to stick the abortion egg beater up there to scramble those eggs. Its unbelievable how people get to these troubles. Having sex is in their case a choice. Even 10 year old children know that sex is how babies are made. If even children know what the original purpose of sex is, why is it that adults are shocked snd suprised when they have sex, it can lead to pregnancy.
