He's the most considerate, and caring man I've ever met. I felt so safe next to him, like it was meant to be like that. Us. We've been dating, and a few days after our first kiss, he told me about his mental health issues. Another few days later told me, he can't take up the responsibility of a relationship rn, so he'd be my friend, maybe later more. I don't expect a huge change in these months, but if he texts me, and I see that he really put work into his well-being I'm willing to give him another chance.
If a guy is really struggling with stuff, it shows how much you care that you're willing to wait for him to sort himself out before committing fully to something serious. That kind of support could honestly mean the world to him.
Two months isn't that long anyway, and if you can keep in touch casually in the meantime, that's probably best. It keeps things light while also letting him know you still care about him.
I'd say most guys would absolutely appreciate you giving them a chance to get their head on straight. Knowing someone has faith in them like that would be really motivational to work on their issues.
The way I see it, this dude is lucky to have someone so understanding. If he really does make progress, he'll come back to you a better man. And you'll know you played a role in helping him through a tough time. Definitely don't give up hope - having you in his corner means a lot.
So yeah, take care of yourself in these months too. But keeping an open mind and letting him prove himself could end up being something really special down the track, you know? You got this.
