How long do you feel you should date someone before having sex with them?

I don’t think either should feel there is a timeline, it’s really making sure both are happy to go the sexual route. I’ve dated and ended up back at her flat on first date, and also waited 6 months. There are a large number of factors that come into play, chief among them is likely ‘can I trust him, will he ghost me after we have sex’ etc

I guess it depends on how they feel about it. My first girlfriend, I only went out with her once and we fucked twice that first night. My second, I knew for at least 2 years and then ended up living with her (per se) for a few weeks before we started fucking. My third, I dated a few times (I saw her at least 5 times) over our first two months and THEN we started fucking.
