So I started talking to this new girl. And she’s upset that I don’t have an instagram or facebook (well I do, but I just use it for marketplace). And she’s trying to make me make an instagram account. I really don’t care to impress people. And I like my private life. Plus I really don’t want some people from the past following me (because I made the mistake of following people in the past on Facebook, and their posts are so annoying to look at). Or ex girlfriends following me there. I just think it’s superficial. Like to show off to her friends. “Oh, look at him.” I could care less.

Eh, I don't know if I'd call it a total red flag yet, but it's definitely a yellow flag for sure. Wanting you to make social media accounts just to show you off to her friends is kind of wack. Like who cares what they think, you know?

I can get not wanting creeps and exes from your past hitting you up online too. Social media is lame like that. At the same time, I guess I could see why a girl would want her dude to have stuff so she can tag him in pictures and whatever.

I'd say don't make accounts just cause she's bugging you to. That'll only lead to drama down the line when you post something she doesn't like or some chick leaves a flirty comment. Maybe chill for a bit and see how things go. If she can't accept you wanna keep your business lowkey, then she might not be the one bro. Don't let anyone pressure you into stuff you aren't about.

It is a red flag, IG is a toxic cesspit of lies, delusions, and narcissism. You could just let her make you an account and immediately get yourself banned by posting something like "Men cannot get pregnant".
