Over the last three months we’ve been in a dating/relationship type scenario and I really enjoy it. I’m really not the type of person to date around like crazy but I am very attracted to lust. And as a guy I see woman look at me and I want to approach but think it’s very rude when talking to someone. This girl is great, she’s family oriented, hardworking, and very caring. She’s also a very good communicator which is sooo key to me. The only problem for me is that she’s a foreign girl who just got a two year Visa extension for school, and she’s a 7/10 in looks category. If those weren’t issues I probably would’ve asked for in a relationship months ago. It’s as if I’m looking for something better, while really enjoying to date and get to know her, and realizing I’ll probably fall for her. Any advice on deciding?

You’re stuck because you’re treating attraction like a ranking system instead of asking whether this person actually fits your values and life. Looks and visa length matter, but they shouldn’t outweigh qualities you already said are rare and important like communication and character. If you enjoy her and feel safe with her, the real decision is whether you want to invest in her fully instead of waiting for a “perfect” option that.

I’d say a humble 8. Even if she isn’t the one, could saying yes and pursuing what we have turn into something better in the future. I’m not saying she’s bad looking, she’s pretty. I just know there are very pretty girls who have looked at me, and I’ve had thoughts
