Should I give him another chance?

I dated my ex years ago. He was 19 and I was 23. He cheated on me and has recently want to come back. He said he was young at the time and being stupid. He's now my age when I dated him and realizes his mistake.

Man, that's a tough one. On one hand, like everyone deserves a second chance y'know? And people can definitely change and grow up a lot between 19-23. But cheating is also really hard to forgive.

I'd say really think about if you're fully over what happened in the past first before deciding. Have you completely moved on from being hurt? Cuz if any part of you still isn't over it, taking him back could just end up in more drama.

Talk to him about why he cheated back then, and what he's learned since. Does he seem truly sorry and like he get it now? Could you really trust him not to hurt you again? Trust is so important in a relationship.

My advice would be go super slow if you do wanna try again. Don't fully commit right away, maybe just hang out as friends first and see how it feels before labeling it. That way there's less pressure and you can get a real sense of if he's changed or not.

In the end it's your call what feels right. But just be careful and look out for yourself too. Make sure he earns your trust back over time if you decide to give it another shot.

I would say let’s be friends for now. By being friends again, y'all get a chance to relearn each other, to see if he really has changed. I do believe people can change but their actions would need to speak louder than their words.
