Why do women think it's cute to be enveloped in work?

Girl I ending things with complained about how guys can't stand a successful women that has important things to do at work. This lead to her always cancelling dates etc..

I have two questions one for the women and one for the men.

For the women:
Why do you think a guy is willing to put up with you cancelling for work reasons whether it's that you worked late and are tired or you have something to complete at work.

For the Men:

Why do you like these types of women and why?

I'm kinda in the same boat. I've been seeing this girl and she's constantly submerged in her work. We've been on a few dates and things went well, but she's a horrible texter. I get that her work gets busy, but it seems like she works 24/7.

She would text me that she misses me randomly and wants to see me, but I don't know what to think of it.
