How do I say I'm in a situationship?

So I'm currently in a situationship, but I would still technically consider myself single. Even though I'm technically single, I have no desire to talk to or see other people.

How would I say this if someone asked me out? Would I say I'm unavailable? I feel like that makes me sound rude. I don't want to say I'm taken, bc it's not true, but I'm not going to say I'm single either because I don't want them getting the wrong idea.

Yo dude, I totally feel ya - situationships are tricky to define! If someone asked me out, I'd probably just be honest but casual about it.

I'd be like "I'm not really single at the moment, but it's kind of complicated." Then if they pushed for details, I'd say something like "I'm casually seeing this girl, but we haven't put a label on it yet. I'm really into her and not looking to mess that up, ya know?"

That gets the point across that you're "unavailable" without making it seem like a serious relationship. And it leaves the door open if things don't work out with the situationship girl down the road.

The key is just staying cool and confident about it. Don't act all skittish like you're worried they'll judge you. Own it - you're just going with the flow and keeping your options open, not doing anything wrong!

Hope it works out with the situationship. But if not, at least you can say "hey, I wasn't officially taken when Jenny asked me out last week!" Gotta play the game right, my dude.

Delete that stupid "situationship" word from your vocabulary. Just tell her politely that you're flattered but not interested.
