I once wrote a kissing scene for a book series I was writing. The best way I can explain it is open mouth kisses are moist and warm. You can feel the other perons body heat on their lips.

Usually, unless it's a quick peck, your arms go around each other, like a hug. The shampoo, conditioner, or hairspray the other person is wearing, the aroma hits your nostrils because you're closer to their head.
Unless they have dry lips, their lips are usually tender. You can also feel the warmth of their breath hitting your nose and lips.

From my experience, some people are great at kissing and some could use practice. This one girl I dated knew exactly what to do. A good kiss isn't sloppy or too wet or too dry. Every person kisses different though.

@Mdavila hmm you've shared very openly, do you feel any regrets/hindsight being 28 and still in that regard? Which isn't something bad (paraphrasing jerry Seinfeld in "not that there's anything wrong with" episodes).
Anyways. I for one haven't either yet I for one know, I've probably saved myself grief with STIs or stds because who knows where her mouth has been 🧐😋😛😋😛👅

If it's done right it's almost a dizzy feeling, makes your head spin.
As you get into it a little sometimes I will lace my fingers into their hair, or if I'm feeling aggressive and things are getting heated then pin their wrists above their head against the wall.
