Are their specific topics that should be talked about when talking to someone for the first time?

Sorry about the long ass title but yes are their specific things girls are looking to talk about generally speaking when it comes to dating? I’m a pretty good conversationalist at least that’s what a lot of friends have told me both male and female. But one I’ve struggled to get anywhere after getting a girls number and on dating apps especially. Either the girl never hits you up to talk so why bother matching or we will talk for a bit with the girl being dry and then leaving on delivered. Same with texting after getting the number we will chat for a bit and I get left on read or delivered. What’s annoying to me is a complaint I’ve gotten from some girls was I was boring or we didn’t really talk about anything. Even though I’d through topics of conversation out there and they’d just be giving me dry ass responses, so are there specific things we should be talking on to lead up to a date or am I crazy. I’m of the opinion that it shouldn’t matter if we are both actually genuinely interested then we should be able to talk about any and everything. But my luck just hasn’t been on my side so thoughts opinions?

lol coming up with topics isn’t really my issue I feel like the girls either one never respond if we match to begin with or in the case of getting a girls number they just are super dry during conversation and then some how it’s my fault 😭
