How old is too old to be a sidepiece?

No judgement here but I can kinda understand why some people in their early 20s are okay with being a side piece. They’re mostly still insecure and unsure of their worth, or just like the thrill of being the secret lover or they’re just dumb and too naive. But if you’re in your late 20s and is still okay with just being a side piece… You definitely need to work on your self image.

I know someone who is 36 with a great career who is willing to be the other woman just bcs she’s deeply in love with the guy and is willing to be the side chick as long as she gets to see him. My close friend was also almost okay with being the side chick until I talked some sense into her… she said she’s desperate bcs she’s in her 30s and still unmarried but I mean he’s not gonna marry you, he just wants a piece of that cake.

I just think it’s really sad…

I know that no one should ever be okay with being a sidepiece but like I said, I can kinda give a pass to the teens/really young adults. I just feel like as you grow older you should be secure enough in yourself that you wouldn’t even be okay with being treated like you’re just an option

Age sadly doesn’t really matter , people can be side pieces at any age if they choose to. Some people don’t want to be in a relationship , so they don’t mind being a side piece , because there is no strings attached , it’s just sex to them. I been a side piece a few times with girls’ that were cheating on their boyfriends or husbands with me , the only reason I did it , was because I didn’t want a relationship and these girls were throwing themselves at me , so I said fuck it I wanted sex. indid feel bad about it but I realized it’s not my problem but hers’ i would tell the girls’ that they should end their relationships with their partners ‘ because they clearly don’t love their partners’ by cheating on them with me , some of the girls’ ended their relationships and some of them went back like nothing happened. So it just goes to show people can easily be selfish and shouldn’t be in a relationship with anyone. When I am single , I do pretty much whatever I want , because I am not tied down to anyone but myself , I use to make a big deal about hooking up with a girl that was already in a relationship until I realized it’s not my problem that’s her problem , if her boyfriend or husband wanted to come fight me , I would just laugh and think why are you fighting over a girl that did that to you? You should be knocking her the fuck out for being a cheater? So after having my heart shit on a handful of times by girls’ my whole perception of love and relationships went out the window , Why I no longer jump into relationships with girls’ most people don’t truly know what they want out of relationships anymore? Unless the relationship revolves around themselves and they get what they want out of it , if they don’t get what they want? They run to someone else thinking that someone else will save them. I would eventually like to find true love and settle down with a girl before I leave this Hell of the world , but for me to do that again? It’s going to take some time , for me to really get to know her before I decide to fully give her my heart. Why I prefer FWB’s with girls’ these days , most girls’ say they want a relationship and commitment but when they receive it? They eventually. change their minds when they feel something better comes along or they think grass is greener on the other side. So finding a girl that actually values a relationship and understands the foundation of a relationship is hard to find , especially these days with social media screwing everyone’s heads up about relationships and cheating and affairs. This world pretty much went to hell in a hand basket and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to get any better. No one should  ever  be okay with that. If you are you don't respect yourself. I know a lot of women will settle for this, and I've known ones like the ones you know on your job, it is absolutely sad and pathetic. They have no morals, no self-respect, and no respect for the man's partner either. When you settle for that you basically are telling the guy you're okay with being used like a whore he will never marry.

You’re right, no one should be ok with being the side chick. The side chick is enabling a cheater and destroying the life of another person. Additionally, there’s no confidence gained by being the so called side chick/side piece. (We called them home breakers when I was your age… “side piece” makes the person sound like a firearm, lending class and normalcy to something terrible.) There’s no real justification for it at any age.

Anyone that is okay with being a side piece, needs to do some serious therapy and figure out why they feel like they aren’t good enough to be apart of a person’s life entirely without the possibility of another person trumping their spot in someone’s life. It’s definitely a low self esteem and self worth trait.

This is modern dating, I don't think there is an age anymore that's too old. If there's no rules to follow in dating most women will compete over the same men that's just how it is. Economically I'm very socialist, but socially I think modern dating is more of a regression than a progression. I'm not even religious or anything I just think the outcomes speak for themselves. More and more people are alone, more single parents, a lot of people are in relationships with people who don't really want them. Promiscuity is through the roof and real connection is declining. When I was a kid I didn't understand, I thought why wouldn't we just let people be with whoever they want. But now I grew up I see that most of the population is not capable of making a good decision in this area.

So even though the rules that were in place look stupid and old fashioned and rigid and prude or whatever you want to call them. They were actually helping 80% of people get better outcomes in their dating life. 15-20% of people can handle the freedom and can make a good choice, even with the constant temptations and illuision of finding something better, or wanting some variety. But the rest, they're hopeless. So these women I don't think they will learn their lesson and I don't think they'll grow out of it. It's good that you can see the situation for what it is but most people can't. My girlfriend lives in a traditional society and she has very strong feminist beliefs and she gets super angry at me when I say anything about this but I don't think she can see the full picture.

But I want us to get through this because I like her and I don't want ideology to get in between us. She's very stubborn in only this area. She can't see that we're already living in the future that she wants to achieve and that there's a lot that sucks about it. But I hope I can get somewhere if I keep trying to mediate and be the bigger person.

Like regardless of age if a woman got caught and killed by the girlfriend or wife, its like Meh,🤷‍♀️ You should of seen that one coming lol. Now that is not to say I don't see how it could happen, because there are a lot of very sexy and nice men that have women. Usually it happens because a taken guy will treat a woman much more romantically, sweeter and sexier than just her boyfriend would and considering us woman love attention, therein lies the problem lol.

Regardless of age, it strikes me as a TERRIBLE idea to be a sidepiece if you're in love with the person. The only time it makes sense to be a sidepiece is if you're just in it for sex or if you're getting some material benefit like being a sugar baby or something.
