Was my coworker throwing out hints that he is single/interested?

hi! at work today my coworker and I discussed snowboarding and I said how I want to go over this winter and learn as I have never been and he was saying how he loves to snowboard and his family even has a joke that it is a requirement to date him to know how to snowboard. A little prior I was mentioning how I would love to go someplace like mammoth and not be on my phone and be out in nature and he mentioned how his phone is dry he said something like "yeah no one needs me i wouldn't even get any texts over a few days". also was this flirting? he came up to me randomly with a big smile and was like "come on, rach, get it together (he nicknamed me from rachel)" like teasing me playfully.

It kinda sounds like maybe he was throwing out some hints that he's interested!

The snowboarding comment about it being "a requirement to date him" makes it seem like he was opening the door for the possibility of you two going together. And offering to teach you is definitely a good sign.

Then saying no one would even text him for days also gives me the vibe that he was hinting he'd be open to going alone with you. Guys don't usually volunteer that kind of personal info to just coworkers.

And the playful teasing with the nickname and telling you to "get it together" - that's pretty flirty behavior if you ask me! He was probably just joking around to see how you'd react.

I'd say keep chatting with him casually and see if he asks you out for coffee or something lowkey after work someday. Feel it out a bit more. But it does sound promising based on the little hints he was throwing out there. Fingers crossed for you! Let me know what happens.
