I can't speak for other men... but when I say those words, you can be guaranteed I mean it.

And I will stick with it even if it kills me...

I vowed I would never abandon my ex, no matter what she would do or say to me... and I stuck with that, despite knowing that she was emotionally abusing and manipulating me. I never left her, after 11 years of abuse I had outlived my purpose, got cast aside and pushed to suicide, made homeless while recovering in the hospital and 2 months after my recovery the ex moved her next victim in whom she had been grooming for a number of years.

And still I said to her that I would always be there for her if she needs me.

4.5 years later I have finally reach the point of no return; I will never let her back into my life, not even for the sake of the kids once I have regained contact with them. She will be the death of me and I cannot let her have that satisfaction.

I am no longer relationship material, I am too damaged... but would I meet and get together with another lady, I will be exactly the same.

His actions should be speaking louder than words , only you can decide whether he is or not , if he is spending a lot of time with you and wants to see you as much as possible , and he pretty much always wants to be by your side? Then yes he is more than likely telling you the truth so if you love him and care about him? You should do the same for him

We don't know him and you should look more on his actions than words. Anyone can say they'll never cheat on you. That's a childish promise even a HS teen can make.
