Personally I don’t think so, the attitude of society has ingrained in people’s minds that guys should be the only ones to make the first approach.

But here’s the truth, if I like a guy enough, visually or watching from a distance, I don’t mind to be the first to walk up to him and say hi. I don’t see an issue with that, just because it’s not typically the “norm” doesn’t necessarily make it like super weird to do either.
