3.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. I used to be really shy. And really wouldn't communicate too much.
But nowadays I love knowledge and when I'm communicating with somebody I want to know exactly who they are from the inside out so I think I'm a little bit more reserved and. Would rather listen than speak but it all just depends I think on who the person is and what's going on20 Reply

2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. I'm not at all shy. I AM pretty laid back most of the time, unless there's a reason for me to take charge of some situation that's about to be a problem. I also have no problem getting involved in conversations.
I just don't like drama and I avoid causing drama myself unless the situation is so bad that it will be worse if I don't.30 Reply

It's different I guess shy is more like a fear of talking while being reserved is composure something like that.
I consider myself to be both because I usually get scared of talking to new people or people I'm not close with... And I'm reserved in the sense that I act calm under pressure (eventho I don't feel that way I still act calm)... so yeah both

1 yI’m more a reserved person at this point in my life.
I’ve done the whole partying, going to clubs, dancing all night and hanging with all sorts of people at all sorts of time of the night for like 10 years , I’m at that point where I just enjoy peace and quiet. I’ll still do those activities but much more spread out and with selective people than before.
Now I enjoy being home, relaxing, kicking with friends and just vibes20 Reply- 2.6K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yThere's indeed a difference.
Myself, I'm very reserved and the trusted inner circle of contacts is small.
But in daily life I'm upfront/sarcastic/direct/confrontational.
One may say that my own kind of shyness is protected by barbed wire?
10 Reply I can be quiet especially around a lot of unfamiliar people however I have not problems with public speaking and quite frankly I've spent enough time in prison that I dont really have a sense of modesty either. (You know you have a twisted sense if humor when you're ripping on the guards who have to strip search you)
20 Reply14.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Reserved, yes. Yes there's a difference. Shy sounds afraid. I'm afraid of no one. But I don't like to assume too much with people. Most of my life I've lived with this mindset. Sometimes I question this though because I wonder if I come off as snobbish. I'm a very warm person to people I know.
10 ReplyI'm very reserved when I'm around new people. I prefer to observe and listen until I get to really know/trust them. But I'm not shy. I believe being shy is when you're uncomfortable and scared of what other people will think of you.

1 yYes I am reserved and there is a difference
To me I feel a shy oerson is more timid and a bit social awkward when it comes to dealing with people in a social level
But reserved is like you don't mind talking to people from time to time and you can communicate well but you choose the time, you choose the people you are selective
That's how I see it01 Reply- 1 y
@Asker also shy people are sometimes inexperienced too
