He assumed my weekends are reserved for him, should I go or no?

There is this guy I have been talking to fro about a month now and every Friday he has arranged dinner dates for us and will let me know at the beginning of the week so I can make arrangements.

I noticed this week he didn't message me like usual so assumed he didn't want to meet or something. He messaged me just now saying he's excited to see me on Friday, even though he didn't make any arrangements to see me but rather just assumed he would be seeing me.

I'll be honest, in the past I would have been so excited and agreed to meet but I am trying to carry myself in a different way because I want to carry myself more respectfully. For context, we aren't dating but have been talking for maybe about a month and a half. If we were dating, it would be implied I'm seeing him but I feel like I shouldn't be giving girlfriend privileges without him asking me to date.

What are your thoughts on this?

So you are concerned about a label? And this is how most relationships are doomed before they even start. Don't worry about the label, what matters is that he wants to see you, he wants to spend time with you, he is already treating you like a girlfriend... Let things flow naturally, why set standards when there are not supposed to be any especially when every flag is green ( I assume ) ...
I would be more worried if he would NOT plan or NOT assume that Friday is ya'lls day...
