In most relationships/marriages the man is higher earning, older and more intelligent. That’s how men attract women typically. Men attract women by being better than them.

So how can they be 100% equal on decisions, that’s the woman holding the man back. The man should be leading and mostly in charge.

No. At least not for me. I am not so shallow to fall for any of the traits you described. If I am attracted to someone, it is because I find their personality to be magnetic.

I don't care about financial earnings or age. I do require a man who can keep up with me intellectually, but I prefer the levels be even.

Because he is physically larger he should lead though? I think not. Unpopular view perhaps, but I have trained for the vast majority of my life in martial arts. I don't care about how tall or strong you are, I am perfectly capable of handling myself.

My husband earns more, is older, and more intelligent. He doesn't think he's better than me, and he always was the one more insisting we split decisions equally.

It works best for us since his job is very creative and markety, and mine is more manual and persony. So I have the energy and he has the strategy, and we both have different important perspectives.

High earning attracts women interested in earnings, which would be statistically more preeminent in poor areas where money is rare. Older is a personal and relative thing since you hear quite a lot women having tight age gap limits, usually no more than a few years. You have no measurement system to evaluate intelligence as it does not exist.

If a man is not better than a lot of people will tell her that he will hold her back. So you are making a good point.

A lot of women will reason from feelings. How many times have you heard "I feel that XYZ". You immediately know that this is a reason free zone. So the man should lead by injecting logic and reason.

However, feeling based reasoning can be valid in limited circumstances. Do you want a relaxing holiday, an adventure holiday or an experience holiday?
